As Kenyans celebrate the 58th Madaraka day marking the struggle at triumph that gave way to self rule, many Kenyans have a day off work and opportunity to reflect in the spirit of patriotism.
With myriads of promises by leaders, year in year out, the Kenyan had perceived the Madaraka day celebrations as just another opportunity for the leaders to draw attention to themselves on the podium and continue on the promise making spree. With just a year to the elections slated for 2022, the Madaraka celebrations this year are no different the attention goes from the suffering of the ordinary Kenya who ought to get reprieve from the socio-economic plight that has been occasioned by the global Corona plandemic to the leaders that are eager to preserve their positions in government and continue plundering the public coffers.
