Talented East African songstress, SIS P is a woman focused on shaking up the industry and turning things from the status quo to a brand new vibe with her Afro-fusion inspired sound blended with coastal swahili. How you you like to introduce yourself? 1: Am Sis P, a Kenyan artist; singer, actress, Journalist &MUA based in Mombasa. I like to refer myself as Jack of all arts coz all my works revolve around creating. Am also a Mum.

2. When did you discover your passion for music? 2: Music has been part and parcel of my life ever since a tender age, I can remember I started coaching my fellow kids when I was 6years. The passion sparkled earlier and I grew with it. 3. How long have you been doing music professionally? 3: I have been in the industry for 9 years now, next year I will be exactly 10 years of doing music proffesionaly. I started pursuing it professionally in 2012 when I released debut single "BLIND IN YOUR LOVE". TABASAMU , MSUPA...consequtively. 4. Whats your latest music release? 4: Currently my lasted track is NADEKA , a love song which was inspired by the illusion of a new found love. the video is available on my new channel #SisPMusic. 5. How has the reception of your music been so far? 5: So far the reception of my music has been very positive, I've heard several Hit songs back in 2014-2017 before I took a maternal break in 2018-2019 , then 2020 corona came... so I came back again this year with Nadeka and the reception is encouraging.

6. Which east African artists do you aspire to work with in future? 6: I aspire to work with quite a number, but right now I admire Nandy from TZ, I love Vanessa Mdee unfortunately she stopped 🥲, I really want to work with Willy Paul he's my favourite Kenyan artist, and Otile Brown. Masauti is also my favourite. Am working on featuring them in my upcoming Album. 7. Which artists and producers have you worked with so far? 7: So far I have worked with quite a number of producers, in Kenya, Tanzania ,Nigeria and Congo. The likes of Saint P, Teddy B, Vicky Pon Dis, Totti, Tk2, Visita,etc... Artists, I have worked with Barnaba classic from Tz, Sudi Boy, Ally B, Jovial, Akothee, Visita, Dazla, frankie Dee etc... 8. What opportunities and challenges have you encountered in the industry? 8; Being in the industry I have tasted the Sweet and the bitter that comes with it, I have had opportunities of meeting and interacting with some of the countries' who's and who,performing with some of East Africa's big names. So far music has exposed me wider through performing around East Africa. Some of the challenges I have encountered are getting a proper management team to work with. Being a female artist, am yet to find a manager who will handle my music proffesionaly and not personally.

9. What are your other interests apart from music? 9; other than music, am a screen actress currently playing 'Leyla' on Pete Series that airs on Maisha Magic East/Plus DstV/GoTv every week day. Am also in broadcast media proffesionaly ,Producer and Presenter. A FILM Makeup artist and an entrepreneur. Being a Mum is also my full time job that I try so hard to balance 10.
