Meet Mr Lion the talented Kenyan Drill and Hiphop artist

Kenyan recording and performing artist  Mustafa farouk, popularly known by his stage name MR.LION is a creative force to reckon with in the music arena. The singer, song writer and rap artist was born and raised in Nairobi, the metropolitan city and melting pot of diverse cultures that influenced MR.LION"S perspective in life and art which is clearly evident in his music.

As a young boy, MR.LION’s passion for music was inspired by his friends and artists he grew up listening to on the radio such as Tupac and other hip-hop icons in the world. Initially, his passion for music and art drew him to pursue his interests in music and entertainment, first as a dancer while still a teenager. Working closely with friends to nurture his dancing talent, MR.LION realized that he could also blend rhymes and creatively rap and make music and he started to venture more into that with support from friends and his family too.

MR.LION"s  first song was recorded and produced by Producer KStaceBeats a track titled "BANANA" FT MUSYOKINGPINCHEZ, an experimental DRILL song which captures both the reality of the street life in the city and the creative imagination in his first song which wasn’t actively marketed and distributed by then but still managed to cast spotlight on his talent among friends in his circle. LION has on many occasions outlined the fact that he didn’t quite choose DRILL&HIPHOP but actually, drill&hiphop chose him.
