MEET THE KENYAN HIPPIE THE LIVING CANVAS WHO EXPRESSES HERSELF WITH BEAUTIFUL TATTOO ART

Wakenya Njoki Clewis a.k.a Kenyan hippie or African hippie is a tattoo enthusiast, model, creative and art influencer on many online & digital platforms. She discovered her passion for Art since a tender age and with a drawing talent she got different awards for drawing competition at Kilimani primary. Wakenya represented her school at the British council exhibition and art has been a very integral part of her life.

In terms of tattoos, she found her interest while in highschool but got her first tattoo, a butterfly on her back after campus. With the different stereotypes and assumptions, she always thought that it wasn't a big deal with affirmation  and courage with encountering mixed reactions.

The Kenyan Hippie has worked with different tattoo artists such as Kwemz among others. She asserts though tattoo hurts, the pain levels do vary depending on what part of the body the tattoo art is done on. Wakenya is currently based in the states, Wakenya believes that everyone has their own right to pick a medium of art of their choice and also loves to do music as well and business with her Kenyan Hippie trademark merchandise
