Kenyan reggae artist, Mc Lilpin, is set to make a major cross over with new music. The talented singer, song writer asserts that he is the future of Kenyan reggae music and we had the opportunity for a brief interview to discover more about his journey as an artist. Check it out below;
1. How would you like to introduce yourself?
1.Mc Lilpin the Microphone Doctor is a
Reggae and Dancehall Singer songwriter/Vocalists/Recording and Performing Musician/Entertainer and Entrepreneur
2. When did you discover your passion for music?
2.I discovered my passion when I was in primary school. I used to sing in Sunday school in church and later joined Choir. I later did my pre Gospel album called I'll still be me back in 2008-2009. When I was in form 2
3. Who are some of the artists that inspired you when growing up?
3.The artist who have inspired me to be a musician are Bob Marley Clinton fearon, Buju Banton Garnet silk.
My mum has also been my biggest inspiration for raising me and always encouraging me never to quit.
4. When did you start doing music professionally?
4.i started doing music professionally in 2014 when I did my first song called kwa mtaa which was talking about how the youths have chosen to idle around and not look for work leading to crime and violence
I later found out my love is in Reggae music in 2018 when I did my first reggae song called provider which later got an awesome video in 2019
5. What genre of music do you do?
5.my genre of music is mostly reggae music but I have been gifted with the capability to blend in with most genre like Afrobeats, Dancehall,EDM and so much more.
6. Why did you choose reggae music?
6.The reason I chose reggae is because, all my life I have been trying to find myself in the industry but my true love has always been Reggae. After I did my fist reggae song provider got a lot of positive feedback .I am now a full-time reggae Artist
I always do it for the love of reggae, for positivity to all races in the world and to bring peace love and unity to all fans
7. Tell us about your very first song?
7.My very first song is from my first Album and it was called I will still be me. This song was talking about how people try to change why you believe in and try so much to put you down but you're still you. I wanted to encourage everyone to be themselves in life.

8.I have worked with international and local producers

9. What's the main messages behind your reggae music?
9.my main message is to spread love,peace,unity and also sing praises to God and give thanks
10. How has your music been received by fans so far?
10.My music has been received very well by my fans and am so happy the love is growing day by day.I received an award from Mashujaa awards as the Reggae artist of the year 2017
11. What current project are you working on ?
11.My current project is a song that I was honored to work on called They don't know by a friend and a sound Engineer from Slovenia called Greg Even
This is a love song to a dear person in everyone's life.That woman you love so dearly this song is amazing and it goes to her
12. What's your plans for the next two years?.
12.My plans for the next two year is to have spread my music international and also get international tours to showcase my music and talent from Africa Kenya
Also to network with other amazing Musicians all over the world
To take my music beyond Africa and to impact positive vibe on every fan.Bring love and peace to the community

15.My music is unique in many ways, my fans find it African Reggae music with a blend of Jamaican
16. What challenges and opportunities have you faced?
16. I have faced opportunities to be featured in international riddims and collaboration
Challenges are local airplay and recognition is kind of little in Kenya.
Money to push my music to the next level. A team with a like kindness to work with me and push my career to the next level

17.My other interest in life is Hosting tv and Radio show
