Creamy Goodness: How to Make Simple and Delicious Vanilla Yogurt at Home

 Making vanilla yogurt at home is easy, fun, and healthier than store-bought options. With just a few ingredients and a little patience, you can enjoy creamy, delicious yogurt packed with natural goodness.

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter of whole milk (or any milk of choice)

  • 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt with live cultures (as a starter)

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of sugar or honey (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract



Steps:

  1. Heat the milk – Pour the milk into a pot and heat it gently until it reaches about 85°C (185°F). Stir often to avoid burning.

  2. Cool the milk – Let the milk cool down to about 45°C (113°F).

  3. Add the starter – Mix in the plain yogurt and whisk well to combine.

  4. Add flavor – Stir in vanilla extract and sweetener if desired.

  5. Incubate – Pour the mixture into a container, cover, and keep in a warm place for 6–10 hours until thickened.

  6. Refrigerate – Once set, chill in the fridge for a few hours.

Enjoy your homemade vanilla yogurt with fruits, granola, or on its own
